WIDA MODEL Online Grades 1-12 (Set of 10)

WIDA MODEL Online is an English language proficiency assessment that provides opportunities for students to demonstrate their English language proficiency in the four language domains: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing. Each of these domains is assessed separately. 

All four domain tests are delivered online and facilitated through the online test administration platform. WIDA MODEL Online users receive a WIDA MODEL Online account to access all test materials and training.

Technology

WIDA MODEL Online is a computer-based assessment, however, it cannot be administered remotely. Face-to-face administration is required for valid test results.

The WIDA MODEL Online system consists of the following components: 

• TestNav: a secure browser that delivers online assessments to students. This requires a software install on each local student testing device. 
  • TestNav is compatible with Chrome OS, iPadOS, macOS and Windows. Learn more about the technical requirements for TestNav on the TestNav System Requirements page of Pearson’s TestNav support site.
• LaunchPad & ADAM: a web-based interface used to perform administrative functions for the online system. This does not require any installation – just an up-to-date web browser. 
  • LaunchPad is the rostering platform. MODEL Online users will log in via LaunchPad and the Account Administrator will add schools, additional administrator users, and students to ADAM via LaunchPad.
  • ADAM: ADAM is the test management platform. Educators will use ADAM to assign tests to students, create proctor groups, download MODEL Online test administration materials, administer the test, view score reports and more. 

WIDA MODEL Resource Center: A public website that hosts trainings on how to navigate the Pearson platforms, links to practice tests and other resources, and quick links to download TestNav and log in to ADAM via LaunchPad

Purchase Details: WIDA MODEL Online is available in sets of 10 tests. Each test is good for one administration of all four domains (Speaking, Listening, Writing, and Reading). When ordering, determine the total number of tests you will administer, and order based on this number (i.e. if you need 20 tests you will order two sets). WIDA MODEL Online licenses have a 1 year expiration date. For more information, contact store@wceps.org.
